Potentially a big deal for the many industry consortia that are structured as 501(c)(6) non-profit “business leagues:” Bluetooth SIG lost its appeal at the 9th Circuit — that is, the District Court had held that Bluetooth did not meet the 501(c)(6) criteria, and this ruling was upheld on appeal.
